In place of traditional top-down approaches to urban development, Community-led initiatives propose an inclusive and ecological alternative – but how do they make it happen? All too many questions regarding our city’s future can have an answer.

Rotterdam is home to grassroots organisers, neighbourhood cooperatives, autonomous cultural practitioners and social innovators. Cities are not made of buildings – they are made by people. peer_protocol proposes the Dialogue Øf urban development practices01.0 in a renewed search for the city’s heart!

In dialogue with policy-makers, Initiatives of and beyond Rotterdam will come together to discuss 1. Comm’on Challenge and their endeavours in applying the Right to Challenge; 2. Com_munity Living and the opportunity of collective participation; 3. On Commun’al Urban Development approaches to city-making.

Join us as we dare to question, envision, and reshape the trajectory of urban development in Rotterdam and beyond!

Entrance is free; Drinks and a light dinner are included. Confirm your ticket above/via link.

The event will take place in the Timmerhuis, Halvemaanpassage 1, 3011 AH Rotterdam
Rotterdam, Netherlands.

For any questions, feel welcome to contact info@peerprotocol.nl

As organised by peer_protocol, in partnership with ICLEI, Cultuur & Campus Putselaan, Gemeente Rotterdam; Co-funded by the European Union.
